Dr. Augustus Valmond received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of California Davis. He attended medical school at Howard University College of Medicine where he received his MD degree.

Dr. Valmond was trained in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.  He went on to complete a Fellowship in Nephrology at the same hospital. During his second year of fellowship, he was appointed Chief Nephrology Fellow. He was also recognized for his work in both basic science and clinical research.

After completion of his training, Dr. Valmond worked as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He was actively involved in teaching and training of medical students, interns, residents and fellows. He received additional training and became certified in Interventional Nephrology; he served as the Medical Director of the Brooklyn Vascular Access Center. 

Dr. Valmond is well trained in all aspects of General Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Hypertension, and Interventional Nephrology. He has extensive clinical experience in General Internal Medicine, Kidney Diseases, Hypertension, all modalities of Dialysis (HD, PD, CRRT, SLED), Hemodialysis Access Care, and Pre and Post kidney Transplant Care.

Dr. Valmond is very passionate about patient care and strives to promote a healthy doctor-patient relationship. He has a genuine interest in health promotion, disease prevention, continuity of care, and an overall holistic approach to medicine.
